Fire Fly

The fire flys light up like fire eyes against the fire sky making fire light on this dark night.

Thier frequent lights tell a secret life where there's no strife just pure delight.

I want to join thier silent throng to know thier long held secret song.

To surf like mist on waves of wind and find some hearts for us to mend.

Our constant light will never die, a beacon here for things awry.

A gentle calm passed down thru time, a silent cry for simple lives.

Below the darting wings above, I took a breath, embraced the hush.

An ageless flight to thoughts unknown, an anthem here to time alone.

A call for peace in every land, an earnest plea we take offhand.

A memory here our fathers shared, a priceless gift time can't impair.

Below the moonbeams watchful eye, I stand still and time flows by.
